As reported earlier, Shershaah-fame director Vishnuvardhan is all set to make a comeback to Tamil cinema with a romantic drama! The new project, titled Nesippaya, stars Atharvaa’s brother, Akash Murali, and Aditi Shankar in the lead roles. Akash is making his acting debut with this romantic drama.
The makers have now taken to their social media pages to share the first-look posters of the lead characters. Introducing Aditi as Diya and Akash as Arjun, the new posters hint at a heartwarming romantic tale. Check out the new posters here!
Nesippaya will be backed by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators, who previously made Vijay's Master in 2021.

After a successful Bollywood debut with the National Award-winning 2021 film Shershaah, starring Siddharth Malhotra, the Billa-fame director Vishnuvardhan is all set to make his next Tamil directorial with Atharvaa’s brother, Akash Murali. Reports reveal that the makers have already completed filming the movie, which was shot in Portugal, Spain, and India. The director has roped in his frequent collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja to score music for the film.
Besides the lead cast, the upcoming romantic drama will also feature Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kushboo Sundar, Kalki Koechlin, and Shiv Panditt, among others. On the technical front, the movie features Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson as cinematographers, while Sreekar Prasad serves as the editor.

The upcoming film marks the return of the director to Kollywood. Vishnuvardhan’s last Tamil film, Yatchan, which was released in 2015, had Arya and Kreshna in lead roles.
Vishnuvardhan’s other projects
After attaining huge success with his Hindi directorial debut film Shershaah, the director has been roped in by Karan Johar once again for another film featuring Salman Khan and Trisha in the lead. Titled The Bull, the film is bankrolled by Dharma Productions.
