Mr. Bachchan’s underwhelming response
Upon its initial release, the film received mixed to negative reception from audiences, who criticized the makers for its outdated screenplay. For context, Mr. Bachchan is the official remake of Ajay Devgn’s Raid (2018), which revolves around an honest income tax officer’s mission to tackle a corrupt businessman. However, many viewers felt that the makers failed to create an effective remake. Many also pointed out the awkward chemistry between the lead actors, Ravi Teja and Bhagyashri Borse, due to their significant age gap.
Ever since the songs were released before the film’s debut, many voiced their criticism over the obsession with filmmakers casting younger actresses. One user pointed out, “56-year-old Ravi Teja's sickening dance steps with the 25-year-old Bhagyashree Borse in the 'Sitar Song' from Mr. Bachchan. And the filmmakers don't even care to show the actress' face here because all they want is to objectify her.”

However, director Harish defended the song and replied to the comment, saying, “Congratulations on the discovery… I believe you should apply for the Nobel Prize. Please continue to objectify filmmakers. We welcome you.”
