Sharwanand’s latest movie, Manamey, has finally hit the big screens, and so have the first-day-first-show reviews of the film. Here’s how the FDFS viewers have reacted to the film:
Manamey Twitter Review
Many X (formerly Twitter) users have called the film a ‘decent watch’; however, they have criticized the filmmakers for dragging the film. “Manamey is a feel-good film with a balanced mix of drama and comedy. But the film has a bit of a lengthy runtime... but overall an average experience for a family audience,” a user wrote.

Some users praised the film’s visual grading and hailed cinematographer Vishnu Sharma for showcasing the picturesque aesthetics reminiscent of a French film. “The visuals are impressive, with a color gradient that feels like a French movie. Subtle filters and full frames are well-executed. Every lighting choice is deliberate, and scene composition is perfect. That's about it,” another user commented.
However, a few audience members felt that the film failed in the writing space and was not able to deliver an impactful movie experience, despite ending on a preachy note. “Manamey is an inferior movie that tries to fall into the feel-good family/love drama template. The first half is watchable with some lighthearted comedy that somewhat works. However, the second half goes on endlessly without any impactful scenes. The emotional connect needed for this genre is missing, coupled with underwritten characterizations. Not up to the mark!,” a user commented.

From ‘one-time watch’ to ‘bland performances’, it seems like Manamey has been receiving mixed reception from FDFS-goers. However on the positive note, many viewers were relieved to have a fun family entertainer after a series of violent action dramas released in Tollywood. Nonetheless, the film has been attracting quite a lot of family audiences and might be able to mint more numbers at the box office.
#Manamey starts off well with an interesting setup, and it entertains for a while with lighthearted fun moments and rich visual appeal, but the narrative fails to sustain the momentum because of weak emotional impact after the midpoint. Overall, it is a well-intended attempt that… pic.twitter.com/OnGXctWGz6
