The film’s impressive performance is particularly notable considering the competition from other major releases during the Deepavali holiday. Another Telugu release, KA, is also performing well. Despite a modest budget and a lesser-known cast, KA is holding its own against Lucky Baskhar and Amaran at the Telugu box office. Starring Kiran Abbavaram in the lead, early estimates suggest that KA earned nearly Rs 10 crore within its first two days.
In Kerala, Lucky Baskhar has also performed well. Although Dulquer is a Malayalam star, Lucky Baskhar is considered a Telugu film, and the reception reflects that. The movie debuted at the Kerala box office with an impressive Rs 2+ crore on its first day, maintaining similar momentum on day two, with early estimates suggesting another Rs 2 crore in earnings.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran is also drawing crowds, securing over Rs 1 crore on its Kerala opening day – the biggest opening in the actor's career to date.
