KGF Chapter 2 box office collection: Yash's action sequel crosses Rs 600 crore mark worldwide in just six days

South superstar Yash starrer KGF : Chapter 2 is unstoppable at the box office as the action extravaganza has crossed the Rs 600 crore mark worldwide, becoming the ninth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

The Prashanth Neel directorial had a worldwide release in five languages on April 14. In just six days of release, the film collected Rs 240 crore in The Hindi belt. As per market analysts, the movie is expected to surpass the Rs 250 crore mark on Wednesday taking the opening weekend total in the range of Rs. 255 crore plus. However, the film’s collection showed a slight dip on Tuesday with Rs 19 crore as compared to Monday on which it made an excellent Rs 25 crore.

In the southern region like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the action sequel collected a whopping Rs 5.09 crore share on Monday. The film has become the first Kannada film to reach Rs 39 crore in the USA in just five days.

The Yash starrer has emerged as a ninth blockbuster in the global market with Rs 645 crore, trailing the worldwide collection of RRR , Dangal , Baahubali 2, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK , and Secret Superstar . As per market analysts, the film is likely to cross the worldwide totals of the Baahubali 1 and 2.0 on Wednesday to become the seventh biggest Indian film of all time. Also, if the KGF 2 box office trends continue, it will soon enter the Rs 1000 crore club like RRR.

Meanwhile, KGF Chapter 2, a sequel to the 2018 hit KGF, revolves around a gangster named Rocky , and his return to the titular Kolar Gold Fields where he was born. He crosses paths with the villainous Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt after a turf war erupted. Backed by Vijay Kiragandur, under the Hombale Films banner, the movie also stars Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj in key roles.
