Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin confirms two Telugu stars’ cameo in the sequel

Ever since the release of Kalki 2898 AD, fans have been eager to learn about the interesting cameo appearances in the film. The stars who played cameo stunned with their surprising appearances in Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ magnum opus.

Following the film's release, the makers quickly announced that a sequel was in the works. Although more details about the second installment are yet to be disclosed, Nag Ashwin has spilled some major beans on the characters for the sequel. During a recent media interaction, Ashwin revealed that he will be bringing in Nani and Naveen Polishetty in the sequel. Fans are eagerly waiting for more information about the new characters in the Kalki 2898 AD sequel.

The writer-director revealed the possibility of having more actors into the Kalki universe. He said, “I will surely bring actors Nani and Naveen Polishetty into Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. In the first part, I couldn't find the space to bring in those actors.”

Interestingly, Nag Ashwin made his directorial debut with the Nani-starrer Yevade Subramanyam in 2015. He has also collaborated with Naveen Polishetty as a producer for his film Jathi Ratnalu, which was directed by Anudeep KV, who had also made a short appearance in Kalki 2898 AD.

Earlier, when the makers announced that a sequel to the sci-fi spectacle was already in the works, producer Ashwini Dutt confirmed that 60 percent of the work on the sequel has been completed, with several major scenes still needing to be shot. Nag Ashwin also hinted that fans may have to wait until 2027 for the Kalki 2898 AD sequel, stating that it may take up to three years to make.

Kalki 2898 AD featured several stars across different industries, including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, Shobana, Saswata Chatterjee, and Brahmanandam.

Additionally, the film, helmed by Nag Ashwin, also featured popular cameo appearances by Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, and Malavika Nair.
