Joker: Folie à Deux will be from Harley Quinn's perspective according to latest reports

While we do know that the sequel to 2019 Joker will be focusing on Joker's time in Arkham Asylum and his relationship with his psychiatrist Harley Quinn, it seems now that the movie could be from her perspective.

Joker: Folie à Deux is also set to start production in November and will be shot in La and New York and this new report is the latest leak from the movie.

This should not come as a surprise to DC fans. Harley Quinn's origin story has been told from her perspective a few times, the most powerful being in the animated Batman series, where her character was first created.

The title Folie à Deux' also suggested this as it implies that both Fleck and Quinn share the same delusion.

According to Weekly Planet Podcast, Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn will have a bigger role than originally reported with the move being entirely from her perspective.

This is where the song and dance numbers come in, as Harley "views her relationship with Joker" through musical sequences.

Both Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz will reprise their role from the original with Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Jacob Lofland joining the cast of the sequel.

Todd Philips's choice of making the sequel entirely from Harley Quinn's perspective is an interesting choice and one the studio allowed him to take thanks to the massive critical and commercial success of 2019s Joker. 

Hopefully, we will get to know more details when the movie starts production in November.

Joker: Folie à Deux is set to release on 4 October 2024.
