Helmed by Atlee , the film also stars Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra . Well, some time back there were reports that makers were planning to approach Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati to play the villain’s role. But due to date issues, they decided to go another way. In a report shared by India Today, a source was quoted saying, “Since Sethupathi is one of the busiest actors in India, dates are now being worked out. Soon, he will join the film's sets in Mumbai for the shooting. An announcement will be made at the right time.”
Well, Jawan is not the only Bollywood film that the South superstar will be featured in. He will be sharing the screen with Katrina Kaif in Sriram Raghavan 's upcoming project Merry Christmas and also has Santosh Sivan’s action thriller film Mumbaikar with Vikrant Massey in his kitty. Sethupathi was also a part of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha , but the actor had to opt out later as he could not adjust the comedy drama in his busy schedule.
