It's official, director Lokesh Kanagaraj announces Rolex spinoff movie with Suriya
The movie will be the official fifth entry in the LCU.

Director Loksesh Kanagaraj has announced that he will be working with Suriya soon and that the shoot will last for 150 days.
While there are no details about the project, it is safe to assume that the movie will be the Rolex spinoff the director has mentioned in past interviews.
Suriya played the role of Rolex in the climax 0of Kamal Haasan, Rolex is the main antagonist of the Lokesh cinematic universe and is rumored to appear in the upcoming Leo, which stars Vijay in the lead.
Leo is currently being filed in Chennai and is expected to wrap up filming this May.
There has been a lot of speculation about the plot of the movie and there is a rumor that the movie has a similar plot to the 2005 Hollywood action movie 'A History of Violence'.
In which a family man is forced to confront this violent past after he encounters someone from his old life as a gangster.
The movie is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner Seven Screen Studio.
The cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. The movie will be edited by Philomin Raj who worked on the previous entries of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagarj has announced that he will start working on Kaithi 2 after the release of Leo. 2019s Kaithi was a critical and commercial success and was the first installment in director Lokesh Kangaraj's cinematic universe ( LCU ).
Currently, Suriya is busy with the upcoming Suriya 42. The epic period drama marks the first collaboration between Surya and director Siva.
The movie will also be the first on-screen pairing of Suriya with popular Bollywood actress Disha Patani, recently Siva revealed that Suriya will be sporting 13 unique looks in the movie.
There is also a lot of speculation that Suriya will have a cameo in Leo but we will have to wait till October to find out. Leo will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
