It was the day and date of 9 May 2003 when Bollywood got its chocolate hero in the form of Shahid Kapoor. The film not just defined college romance, but also gave a new dimension to the same. Needless to say, the film was simply lapped up by the cinegoers and, eventually, it went onto become one of the evergreen blockbusters of the silver screen.
Circa 2024- Ishq Vishk Rebound gets announced. The film stars gen-Next stars in the form of Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal. Even though there was excitement all over regarding the film, there were many who were left wondering about Shahid Kapoor’s reaction over the film.
Today, Shahid Kapoor took to social media and shared his views on the film Ishq Vishk Rebound. He posted the poster of the film Ishq Vishk Rebound, and captioned it stating, ‘21 years and the track still sounds fresh. All the best guys. This one will always be special’.
While the film Ishq Vishk featured Shahid Kapoor with Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala in the lead roles and was directed by Ken Ghosh, the film Ishq Vishk Rebound features Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal and has been directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari.
Ever since the time Ishq Vishk Rebound there has been constant buzz about the film being a sequel or a remake of Ishq Vishk. To which, the film’s lead actor Rohit Saraf, in an interview with News 18, clarified that the only thing common between the two films was that they both (Ishq Vishk and Ishq Vishk Rebound) belonged to the same franchise. And, as for Ishq Vishk Rebound, Rohit clarified that, it was a new love story altogether, about Gen Z, what they go through and other aspects.
As for Ishq Vishk Rebound, the film is being readied to be released in theatres on June 21, 2024.
