The Housefull franchise is all set to get extended with a fifth instalment and looks like grand plans are in place to make the film the biggest one yet. While the news of the film being in the works has been around for some time now, the latest reports suggest that Housefull 5 is going to bring all the Housefull heroes together in one mega comedy.
Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have been the franchise regulars and have teamed up with various other Bollywood stars in individual sequels. But now, Sajid Nadidadwala is planning to pull of the biggest casting coup and bring together John Abraham , Abhishek Bachchan , Bobby Deol , Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh all together in Housefull 5 according to a Pinkvilla report.
The report has also claimed that the plan is to take the franchise on floors towards the end of 2023. Sajid Nadiadwala it seems has finally cracked the perfect plot to bring all the major characters together and the work on screenplay and story is in the works now.
While reports had earlier also made tall claims about Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon joining the cast of the mega ensemble, it is yet to clarified if the claims remain true.
The first Housefull film directed by Sajid Khan was released in 2010 and has since had three more sequels over the decade. Three of the four Housefull films have been directed by Sajid Khan who was also to direct the fourth one but was later dropped from the 2018 film owing to several #MeToo allegations against him. Director Farhad Samji directed Housefull 4 and we wonder if he will continue as the director or whether Sajid will make a comeback.
Sajid Khan is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss 16 house and his participation has swiftly reopened the conversations around his #MeToo cases. He will later be directing John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Nora Fatehi and Shehnaaz Gill in a film titled 100%.
