Tamil star Silambarasan unveiled the trailer of the upcoming movie Hitler on Wednesday. Starring Vijay Antony in the lead role, Hitler appears to be a vigilante film centred around corrupt politics.
Judging by the trailer, Hitler evokes memories of the 2002 action drama Samurai, which starred Chiyaan Vikram as a vigilante hero fighting a corrupt system to avenge his girlfriend. Hitler seems to follow a similar path, giving it a familiar feel.
In the film, Gautham Vasudev Menon plays a sharp-looking, seasoned cop investigating a case involving the shooting of three people. His search leads him into a web of political conspiracy and the destruction caused by power-hungry politicians.
Vijay Antony portrays a character with dual shades: initially, an average man leading a simple life, who is in love and content. However, his world is shattered by a terrible decision made by a ruthless politician bent on winning an election. “If people remember what we did, how come we’ve won five consecutive terms?” quips the antagonist, played by Charanraj.
The hero’s transformation from an ordinary man to a vigilante seems to be triggered by a tragic event tied to the corrupt politician’s evil deeds, claiming many innocent lives.
"This film has everything one would expect in a commercial movie. I don't have a particular message to say in this film. The main aim of this movie is to entertain the audience, and Dana has made a movie that will keep the audience in its grip from start to finish," said Vijay Antony while talking about the movie earlier.
Hitler is written and directed by Dana SA and also stars Riya Suman, Reddinn Kingsley, Vivek Prasanna, Tamizh (Director), and Aadukalam Naren. The film is set to hit cinemas on September 27.
