After teasing fans with intriguing first-look posters, the makers finally unveiled the trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra starrer HIT: The first case. Based on the Telugu film of the same name, the trailer offers a glimpse into the dark investigative drama which will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who also helmed the original film, HIT features Rajkummar as a cop in the Homicide Intervention team who is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. He is trying to find missing girl who is kidnapped. His girlfriend Sanya Malhotra also goes missing later. Produced by Bhushan Kumar , Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore, the film is set to release on July 15.
The two-and-a-half-minute trailer introduces Rajkummar as the best cop who is given the case of finding a girl who got kidnapped in the middle of road. Sanya as his girlfriend is seen supporting him as he is also battling PTSD. In the turn of events, Sanya also disappears and the trailer ends with injured Rajkummar sitting on his knees and held by a gun. The film also stars Milind Gunaji, Dalip Tahil , Sanjay Narvekar and Shilpa Shukla .
On working with Rajkummar, the film director Sailesh said that he wanted to cast someone who can bring that darkness to the role and still make the audience root for him with a matured performance. He felt Raj can evoke that kind of response. On the other hand, Rajkummar said that he always on the lookout to play characters he hasn’t explored, and HIT gave him a chance to do that.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar is currently shooting for Mr And Mrs Mahi opposite Janhvi Kapoor . The film is being diirected by Sharan Sharma. His upcoming projects include Anubhav Sinha 's Bheed, Stree sequel, Abhishek Jain's Second Innings and Hansal Mehta's Swagat Hai.
