Film sequels are a very tricky business. While some might do even better than the original, a few others fail to impress the audience which makes us wonder why they were ever made. Well, cult classic Hera Pheri falls in the first category. Part one was epic whereas the second installment titled Phir Hera Pheri became a major commercial success. The best part-- Suniel Shetty , Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal as Shyam, Raju and Babu Bhaiya became three of the most unforgettable characters of all time!
Well, we finally have confirmation about Hera Pheri 3 now! In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama , producer Firoz Nadiadwala revealed, “You’ll get to see it very soon with the same star cast – Akshay ji, Paresh bhai and Suniel ji. The story is in place, and we are working on certain modalities. It’ll be made in the same way, retaining the innocence of the characters. We can’t take past achievements for granted. So, we have to be extra careful in terms of our content, story, screenplay, characters, mannerism etc.”
Currently the makers are in talks with a filmmaker who they have shortlisted to direct part three of the beloved comedy series. Nadiadwala also shared that an official announcement will be made soon. Well, we are sure fans will be relieved to know that the original star cast will return to our screens soon! Currently Akshay is gearing up for Raksha Bandhan whereas Shetty was last seen in Telugu film Ghani. Paresh, on the other hand, will next be seen in Shehzada .
