After impressive fans as a politician in Dasvi, actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set to feature as a cricket coach in director R Balki’s Ghoomer. After teasing the audience with his first-look poster, the makers have now unveiled the much-awaited trailer on Friday. The two-minutes-twenty-seconds-long clip gave a sneak peek into Abhishek’s character who has his own struggle in life until he meets a talented cricketer who encounters a tragic accident and loses her one arm.
The trailer further shows how that paraplegic sportswoman played by Saiyami Kher goes to the ex-cricketer(Abhishek) for help. Then follows the inspiring journey of determination and hope when the ex-cricketer turns a cricket coach and trains her to play with her left hand. The short clip also gave a small glimpse of Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi, who play Saiyami’s mother and lover respectively. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan makes a special appearance as a commentator in the movie. Watch the trailer here:
As soon as the trailer surfaced, it received a positive response from social media users. One of the users wrote, “This movie is based on Indian cricket. Every character plays their role nicely. I'm so excited about this.” The second user stated, “#Ghoomer definitely gonna be a blockbuster. This movie is going to be a game-changer in every aspect,” added another user. Backed by Hope Productions and Saraswati Entertainment, Ghoomer also marks the debut of Invaka Das and Shivendra Singh. The film is set to hit theatres on August 18, 2023.
Meanwhile, Abhishek was last seen in the social comedy-drama, Dasvi, helmed by debutant Tushar Jalota. The film also featured Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles. Besides it, the actor also made a cameo in Ajay Devgn’s action-adventure film, Bholaa.
