Shankar on Ram Charan’s Game Changer
In a recent interview, the director described Game Changer as a mass-commercial film and an out-and-out entertainer, something he had always wanted to make in Tollywood. “I enjoy watching mass entertainers made in Telugu cinema. Hence, I wanted to recreate something like that in my style. That's when Karthik Subbaraj narrated the story of Game Changer to me, and I decided to take it up. I took his story and adapted it to suit my filmmaking style,” he revealed. For the unversed, the story is penned by director Karthik Subbaraj. The Jigarthanda Double X director had declined to direct the political thriller and insisted that S. Shankar helm the project.
Earlier, at the pre-release event of Indian 2, the director revealed that actor Ram Charan has an 'excellent' screen presence in the film and that his 'controlled power' could explode anytime.
