The much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 has been finally unveiled on Thursday. Though the makers didn’t reveal much about the film in the three-minute-long clip, the fans have already declared it a blockbuster. However, a section of people felt that the makers have intentionally kept controversial content hidden. While others believed that the film will not be able to beat Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 at the box office.
Directed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 is the spiritual sequel to Akshay’s 2012 film. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. Going by the trailer, Akshay plays Lord Shiva’s messenger who helps find a ray of hope for his disciple. Reacting to it, one of the fans wrote, “Start to end trailer filled with Goosebumps, This movie will be remembered for power pack performance by Akshay Pankaj and Yami.” Another added, “Well-edited trailer. It doesn't really show the problematic sequences but caters to Hindu sentiments. Though we all know what they did and we are not going to accept the insult of Mahakal. Har har Mahadev.”

On the other hand, one of the netizens stated, “Same #Adipurush tactic. Everything is hidden that’s controversial or could be controversial… film is A rated but the trailer is U/A rated.” The second netizen reacted, “It's a shame that a film on lord Shiva and Sanatan dharm has subject of sex and masturbation the makers are shamelessly gone ahead and made mockery of our Hindu religion and have shown it in bad light it has got Adult certification and 32 cuts film will be boycotted once released.”

It looks impressive, but Gadar 2 will beat it up. If there is no hustles in Gadar2, then only OmG will do miracle

What a brilliant trailer! @akshaykumar has been unlucky not to get few hits under his belt lately although they were good movies. His choice f films r very nice compared 2 d crap that @SKFilmsOfficial s dng these days taking his stardom for granted. Hope this movie clicks for AK!

For the unversed, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 is set to hit the theatres on the same day as OMG 2. “It looks impressive, but Gadar 2 will beat it up. If there are no hustles in Gadar2, then only OmG will do a miracle,” reacted a user. The second user stated, “Ye ott wali movie hai..gadar 2 ke samne na tik rhi ye.” Meanwhile, OMG 2 is backed by Aruna Bhatia, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl, and is set to release on August 11 worlwide.
