Fighter Teaser: Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone's aerial actioner evokes Top Gun nostalgia garnished with raunchy chemistry

After much anticipation, the makers of the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter has finally dropped the teaser on Friday. After putting up power-packed action sequences in Pathaan and War, director Siddharth Anand has upped the game a notch higher in the upcoming aerial action drama.

Taking to Instagram, Hrithik shared a teaser with the caption in Hindi that translates, “Every flight is in the name of the country.” The short clip begins with warnings like, “To find us? You must be good, “To catch us? You must be fast”, “To beat us? You must be joking” promising a mind-blowing showdown. Hrithik , Deepika and Anil enter as pilots and indulge in aerial fights while taking on the enemies down like never-before. The whole sequence seemed reminiscent of Hollywood flick Top Gun. The director added an element of romance with raunchy numbers and party numbers to evoke emotions with some fast-paced sequences in the teaser. The clip ends with Hrithik holding the national flag while Vande Mataram plays in the background.

Reacting to the teaser, a user wrote, “Oooofffff kya hai yeh!!! It is the next level.” The second user commented, “ HR u jst killed it 🔥... Meanwhile, Fighter is backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures. The film will be released in theatres ahead of Republic Day next year, on January 25, 2024. The film reunites Siddharth and Hrithik after Bang Bang and War.. The movie will also see the reunion of the filmmaker with Deepika after Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.
