The Christmas holiday yesterday (December 25) seems to have benefited both the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar at the box office. However, it was the Prashanth Neel directorial that emerged slightly victorious. Take a look at the collections for the fourth day of Salaar and the fifth day of Dunki.
Talking about Dunki, on its fifth day which was also a holiday, the movie earned Rs 22.5 crore. The total collection of the movie at the Indian box office stands at Rs 128.13 crore. The movie has crossed the Rs 200 crore club when it comes to worldwide collections. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial has garnered Rs 211.13 crore worldwide. The movie is eyeing to cross Rs 250 crore worldwide and has also entered the top-grosser club of Bollywood movies for the year 2023.

Meanwhile, talking about Salaar, the film has managed to earn Rs 45.77 crore in Christmas. The Indian box office collection of the film stands at Rs 254.87 crore. While the worldwide collections of the Prabhas starrer stand at Rs 402 crore. The film is raging a storm at the box office and has sped past Dunki quite visibly. It is also eyeing the Rs 500 crore mark worldwide.

Salaar stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, and others in the lead roles. The movie follows the friendship between a tribesman and a prince set against the backdrop of the dystopian fictional city of Khansaar. The second part of the movie Salaar: Part 2- Shouryaanga Parvam is already in development.
Dunki stars Shah Rukh alongside Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal in a cameo appearance. It is based on the ‘Donkey Route’ which has immigrants travel abroad illegally. The film marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Hirani.
