Dunki
Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani has been a much-awaited project ever since the announcement. After Dunki Drop 1, 2 and 3, the fans’ interest has been piqued to see a movie based on an illegal immigration technique named Donkey Flight. Featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles, the film is set to arrive in theatres on December 22, 2023.
Wonka
The musical fantasy drama, Wonka tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today. It is set to tell Willy Wonka’s origin story, from young adventurer to prolific chocolate maker, long before his appearance in Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.The film is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on 8 December and in the United States on 15 December 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
The upcoming American superhero film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, based on the DC character Aquaman is the most anticipated movie of the year 2023. It is scheduled for release on December 22, 2023, marking the final superhero film of the year, and the final project in the DC Extended Universe. It is the sequel to the 2018 film that sees Jason Momoa reprise his role as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.
The Archies
The much-awaited film The Archies, set in the fictional hilly town of Riverdale in 60s India is the Indian adaptation of the American classic comic of the same name. The movie is all set to introduce Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda to the audience as the film will mark their Bollywood debut. Besides them, the film revolves around the lives of seven teenagers and also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot., Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Mendain in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to stream on Netflix on December 7, 2023.
Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire
After KGF, Prashanth Neel is all set to amaze the audience with his upcoming epic action drama, Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire. For the unversed, it is the first Indian film shot with DCT (Dark Centric Theme) technology. The plot revolves around a gang leader who tries to keep a promise made to his dying friend and takes on the other criminal gangs. Featuring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu, the film is all set to arrive in theatres on December 22, 2023.
