The much-anticipated release of Dulquer Salmaan’s period heist comedy Lucky Bhaskar may face further delays, as industry insiders hint at a potential shift in the release date. Initially slated for a September 27 release, the film's debut is now expected to be pushed to the end of October, possibly post-Diwali, or even into November. However, an official announcement regarding the new date is still awaited.
The decision to reconsider the release date stems from increased competition at the box office. While Lucky Bhaskar originally seemed poised to take advantage of the gap left by delays in Pawan Kalyan's OG, the circumstances changed when the makers of Jr NTR's highly anticipated Devara: Part 1 locked in the same release date. This unexpected competition has prompted the producers of Lucky Bhaskar to rethink their strategy, ensuring the film has the best chance to succeed without being overshadowed.

Earlier, speculations were rife about the possibility of Lucky Bhaskar taking the Independence Day holiday slot. With Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's highly anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule vacating the August 15 slot, it led to a series of release date reshuffles across the Indian film industry. However, Lucky Bhaskar gave the coveted holiday a miss due to the high frequency of movies released across South India. The recent Telugu films Mr. Bachchan and Double iSmart, which were released during the holiday, turned out to be huge commercial disasters.
Directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Bhaskar features Dulquer Salmaan as a middle-class bank employee who inadvertently discovers a stash of money, offering him a potential escape from his mundane life. The film, which promises to be a feel-good caper, also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Fans eagerly await further updates as the filmmakers navigate these challenges to bring Lucky Bhaskar to the big screen.
