Tamil star Dhanush is making waves in the film industry, not just for his acting but also for his ventures into directing. After the success of Raayan, which marked his 50th film, and the upcoming release of Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), Dhanush is set to helm another project. The latest buzz suggests that actor Arun Vijay has been roped in to play the lead role in Dhanush's next directorial outing, though official confirmation is still awaited.
Dhanush's previous directorial, Raayan, saw him taking on the dual role of writer-director, in addition to playing the lead. The film, though met with mixed reactions from critics, went on to become a box office hit, largely due to the strength of its ensemble cast. Raayan is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Following Raayan, Dhanush is preparing for the release of Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, a romantic comedy starring a young cast including Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Mathew Thomas. The film is slated for a December release and has already generated anticipation.
In addition to his directorial projects, Dhanush has several acting commitments lined up. He is currently working on Kubera, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film that stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni. This is his second collaboration with a Telugu filmmaker, following the success of SIR. Dhanush is also reuniting with director Aanand L Rai for a Hindi film titled Tere Ishk Mein, a spiritual sequel to their hit film Raanjhanaa, with music by AR Rahman.
Dhanush’s journey as a filmmaker is proving to be as dynamic as his acting career, with fans eagerly awaiting his next directorial ventures.
In other news, the Tamil producers' council rescinded the 'red card' against Dhanush, after he agreed to do a film under the Thenandal Films. This issue was amicably solved following the intervention of the Nadigar Sangam.
