Telugu superstar Jr NTR has much to celebrate as his latest movie, Devara: Part 1, continues to perform well in theatres globally. The film has maintained a consistent run at the box office despite receiving mixed reactions from critics and audiences alike.
According to sources, Devara broke even within just six days, earning a Rs 180 crore share, allowing the film to recover its initial investments and move into the profit zone. The movie has since crossed the Rs 300 crore mark and is expected to continue its steady pace at the box office in the coming weeks.

The film’s earnings received a significant boost on October 2, a national holiday for Gandhi Jayanti, with a notable increase in footfall, especially for the Hindi version. Renowned trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that Devara's Hindi collections have now crossed Rs 45 crore within six days. "The numbers of Devara may decline today [Thursday], the working day after the national holiday, but business is expected to pick up from Friday evening onwards as the weekend sets in," tweeted Taran Adarsh.
BIZ JUMPS ON WEDNESDAY... A national holiday can significantly impact #Boxoffice numbers, provided the film has merits... The #JrNTR-starrer #Devara makes a big splash on Wednesday, capitalizing on the #GandhiJayanti holiday, further solidifying its status.

The strong performance in the Hindi-speaking regions indicates that Devara has resonated well with audiences outside of the Telugu-speaking states, further cementing Jr NTR's growing appeal as a "man of the masses" in the North. Much of this success can be attributed to the goodwill and fan base Jr NTR garnered with RRR, his first major hit in the North, directed by SS Rajamouli.
Devara is also performing well overseas, particularly in North America, and is expected to see further growth over its second weekend in both the Telugu states and the Hindi belt.
Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is an action drama centred on warrior tribes struggling to adapt to modern civilization. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles.
