Chris Martin reveals Coldplay will retire as a band after their 12th album, but he will continue….
The last few days saw hysteria and mayhem of sorts. Irrespective of the age factor, one could see many people being glued to their mobile sets, computers and laptops and other possible gadget… all of it just leading to one destination! No prizes for guessing that the destination here happened to be the tickets (at any cost) of the globally famous band Coldplay, who will be enthralling the audiences in the month of January next year.
Those who are not aware, in no time the ticket bookings got open, the tickets were totally sold out, which also led to a big speculation that there could be an element of black marketing in the entire scenario. That’s when the website BookMyShow issued a timely notice that no one should resort to black marketing of Coldplay's tickets.
Just as when all of this was happening, Chris Martin dropped a shocking revelation, which has taken many by utter surprise. Chris Martin, who happens to be the lead singer of the band Coldplay, has now said that they are now planning to retire as a band after the release of their 12th album.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Chris Martin said that they were only going to do 12 proper albums and that was for real. He added that having that limit meant the quality control was so high right now and for a song to make it, it was almost impossible, which he termed as great.
He added that, where they could be coasting, they were trying to improve. He also added that, ‘There were only seven Harry Potters and there were only twelve and a half Beatles’ albums, which was about the same for Bob Marley and all the heroes.
Chris, in the said interview, explained his stand regarding the retirement of them as a band. He said, “To make an album great as a band, it’s such a lot of wrangling of people, and I want to give the others some of their life for themselves.
