Brahmastra trailer: Ayan Mukherji's 'astra-verse' being hailed as a gamechanger at first glance, fans think it will be iconic

In what seems to be an Indian equivalent of the Avengers, Ayan Mukherji has dedicated 5 years of his life to produce the first film of his ‘astra-verse’ where different astras from Indian mythology assemble to fight evil and Ranbir Kapoor playing the ‘Agni-Astra’ being at the centre of the story.

The long wait for the Brahmastra trailer finally ended today for fans and for an out worldly attempt, the movie has received a thunderous welcome from the audience who are simply blown away by the visual appeal and by the idea of telling superhero stories based on Indian mythology.

Everything from the casting, visual effects, music, story and more as seen in the trailer has the audience excited for Brahmastra which is just Part 1 in a series where there will be hopefully more to come.

Ranbir Kapoor who plays DJ Shiv is the central character who goes on a journey of self-discovery to find why he’s not burnt by fire. Amitabh Bachchan plays a scientist named Guru who with a group of others is studying the powers of the Brahmastra. Nagarjuna also plays an astra powered being in the film with his ‘Nandi Astra’ and give a full display of his powers in the trailer.

Mouni Roy plays the villain Junoon with her army who have their eyes set on the Brahmastra, the most powerful weapon of the gods.

Alia Bhatt plays Isha, Shiv’s love interest who gets entangled in the whole world saving astra-verse and it seems that it is their love that finally unleashes the full potential of Shiv’s powers when her life is threatened.

In the lull that Bollywood is experiencing at the moment, Brahmastra with its trailer is being hailed as a game changer by the netizens who can’t wait to see it in cinemas. Many think that the Brahmastra universe will be iconic while many others claim to have had a goosebumps moment watching the trailer.
