According to a report by Deadline the sequel is expected to take in between $175M-$185 million from the US markets and another $180M+ overseas for a worldwide total of $355M - $365M.
The movie which will hit theaters worldwide this Friday is expected to have the third biggest opening of the "pandemic era" after Spider-Man: No Way Home ($568M) and Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness ($429M).
The movie has grossed 45 million in advance ticket sales, which is roughly 20% behind Multiverse of Madness and 40% ahead of Thor: Love and Thunder.
The review embargo for the movie was lifted yesterday and critics are overwhelmingly positive, currently, the movie holds a 94% based on 80 reviews.
The original Black Panther movie took in $202 million domestically across its opening weekend and ended up grossing a total of 1.3 billion dollars worldwide.
The only competition the movie will face this weekend is Steven Spielberg's autobiographical film The Fabelmans, which has also received critical praise.
The movie stars Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel, and Dominique Thorne.
