Bhool Bhuliyaa 2 box office: Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's horror comedy hits Rs 100 crore milestone

Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has achieved the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office in the early days of its second week. The horror-comedy has strongly held its ground on its second Saturday grossing an impressive Rs 11.35 crore at the box office.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film remained the first choice of moviegoers, eclipsing the business of new films such as Ayushmann Khurrana ’s Anek and Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick. On Friday and Saturday, the film minted Rs 6.52 crore and 11.35 crore respectively, taking its total earnings to Rs. 109.92 crore.

On its first day of release, the film emerged to be the biggest opener of this year, grossing Rs 14.11 crore. The film continued its dream run collecting Rs 18.34 crore on the first Saturday, and 23 crore on the first Sunday. In just three days of release, the film recorded more than Rs 50 crore at the box office. The film performed rather consistently taking the overall collection to Rs 92.05 crore in its first week. Now, with the strong word-of-mouth, the film has now crossed Rs 100 crore mark in less than ten days of release.

Directed by Anees Bazmee , Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the standalone sequel to Priyadarshan’s 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani , Tabu , Sanjay Mishra, and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles. Co-produced by Bhushan Kumar , Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani , and Anjum Khetani, the film was released in cinemas on May 20, 2022.
