Bedhadak shelved post announcement? Shanaya Kapoor's debut will have to wait

Just like her bestie Ananya Panday , Shanaya Kapoor is all excited to make her Bollywood debut under the wings of Karan Johar ’s Dharma Productions . The filmmaker had announced that she would be making her acting debut with Bedhadak alongside Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. However, the latest reports claim that the film has been shelved. According to a report by Zoom, Bedhadak has been indefinitely postponed or shelved. Well, the official confirmation has not yet been made on the same by either Shanaya or Karan.

The upcoming project was supposed to be helmed by Shashank Khaitan , who gave hits like Badrinath ki Dulhania, Dhadak, and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania for Dharma Productions. When the project was announced, Shanaya excitedly shared the poster on Instagram with the caption that read, “I am extremely grateful and humbled to join the Dharma Family with #Bedhadak - directed by the brilliant Shashank Khaitan. I can’t wait to kickstart this journey, I need all your blessings and love!" Karan introduced her as Nimrit in Bedhadak. The film was said to be a love triangle between Shanaya, Lakshya, and Gurfateh. The project has long been kept in the pipeline.

Shanaya Kapoor is the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor. She is also the best friend of Ananya Panday, who made her acting debut with Student Of The Year 2 under Dharma Productions. She was last seen in Netflix ’s reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which was centered on her mom Maheep Kapoor, Ananya’s mom Bhavana Pandey, Sohail Khan’s ex-wife Seema Khan and actress Neelam Kothari’s lives. She also worked as an assistant director in her cousin Janhvi Kapoor ’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl .

Well, if the reports are to be believed, Shanaya had to wait for her big-ticket Bollywood entry a while longer until another announcement is made.
