When he falls in love with Shruti (Ileana D’cruz) who also reciprocates his feelings, the latter soon rejects him at the behest of her mother because of his physical and financial inabilities. But fate leads him to befriend and elope with the autistic Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) whose parents consider her a liability because of being a differently abled person.
