‘Baap beti ki jodi’: Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Avneet Kaur get brutally trolled as they begin Tiku Weds Sheru promotions

A few days ago the makers of Tiku Weds Sheru dropped the much awaited trailer of the upcoming film, which has been produced by Bollywood’s queen Kangana Ranaut. The actress recently revealed that she was supposed to share the screen with Irrfan Khan in this movie. While their jodi would have created magic, lead stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur’s chemistry was sadly not received well by netizens. One specific scene where the on-screen husband and wife lock lips in a quick passionate kiss was especially trolled because of their age difference.

Well, keeping their head held high and ignoring trolls, Nawazuddin and Avneet have set out for promotions and are leaving no stones unturned to raise the excitement amongst fans. A video of them has now gone viral on social media where the co-stars are posing for photographs together while interacting with the paparazzi. Avneet, who will be seen as Tiku, looked smoking hot in her blue printed co-ords as she flaunted her toned midriff. Nawaz aka Sheru, on the other hand, opted for a pastel lavender jacket and matching pants paired with a white t-shirt.

They are all smiles as they pose together for pictures. But in the comment section below, they have been trolled yet again. One social media user called them: “Baap beti ki jodi”, whereas another netizen wrote: “Ek phool or ek Bagiche ka Maali bus aisi Jodi lag Rahi hey .” Talking about the kiss in the trailer, a troll wrote: “Unki beti ki umar ki avneet hai aur uske saath kiss”, whereas another comment read: “What jodi....bhai baap ki Umar ka hai uski.” But there were a few fans who decided to look at the jodi as nothing but an on-screen pair. For instance, one netizen wrote: “Baat acting ki h aur usme Nawaz ka koi tod nhi.. avneet bhi cute lg rhi h.. pta nhi kya hi negativity ka keeda logon ko..”

Tiku Weds Sheru will take the digital route to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 23rd June. Are you excited?
