Updated : February 24, 2024 02:48 PM ISTThe first day opening collections of Yami Gautam's Article 370 and the Vidyut Jammwal starrer Crakk is out now.
Yesterday (February 23) saw the release of two films at the box office: Article 370 and Crakk. The Yami Gautam starrer revolves around how Article 370 came to be abolished in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In contrast, Vidyut Jammwal’s film is a hardcore survival action flick. Let us look at how these movies fared in their opening day.
Talking about Article 370, the movie surpassed the expectations of many trade analysts and amassed Rs 6.12 crore. This is a favourable opening collection of the movie since it has also been getting positive reviews from the masses and critics. It has been helmed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale. Apart from Yami, it also stars Priyamani, Arun Govil, Kiran Karmarkar, and Raj Zutshi in the lead roles. A snippet of Desimartini’s review of the movie reads, ‘Article 370’s main highlight lies in its meticulous screenplay and detailed research. The dialogues have a no-nonsense vibe some of which will also be bound to give you goosebumps and get some claps and cheers.’
On the other hand, Crakk has also fairly earned well on its first day again surpassing the expectations of the trade analysts. The Vidyut Jammwal starrer has minted Rs 4 crore on its first day. The movie is based on the protagonist who enters a life-threatening underground survival game called Maidaan. While he leaves no stone unturned to win the game, he also has to find out how his brother died while participating in the same game. Apart from Vidyut, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, and Amy Jackson. It has been directed by Aditya Datt.

Both the movies have managed to earn decent opening collections on their first day. A better word of mouth might increase the numbers. They have the coming week to increase the collections before they face stiff competition from the Ajay Devgn starrer Shaitaan.
