While promoting his latest film, Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), Tovino Thomas spoke highly of his experience working on the blockbuster Lucifer, which starred superstar Mohanlal. Tovino credited the film's success for significantly boosting his own popularity and praised director Prithviraj for his role in making the process smooth and stress-free.
"Mr. Prithviraj is one of the brilliant directors I have worked with and when working with him, I can be relaxed. I don't have to stress out," Tovino Thomas remarked during the promotion of ARM.

Tovino explained that despite the scale of Lucifer, he felt at ease throughout the production. "Lucifer gave me so much visibility and reach, but that was one of the movies I did effortlessly. Not because of my greatness, but because I was working with this director (Prithviraj), who is also an actor and who knows the thought process of an actor. He knows how to get the best or whatever he wants from the actor," he said.
The actor also highlighted a unique aspect of working with Prithviraj, particularly regarding the filming process. Tovino recalled how typical shooting schedules involve frequent adjustments to lighting and other technical aspects between takes, which can disrupt an actor’s emotional continuity.
However, Prithviraj’s approach was different. "For example, I will say the line. And Prithviraj will say the little corrections. He will ask me to say the line the same way without blinking. And I get to do that line again without any interruptions," Tovino explained. He praised Prithviraj for allowing ample time for technical adjustments without compromising the actors' performance.
In addition to his praise for Prithviraj, Tovino is also looking forward to his role in L2: Empuraan, the sequel to Lucifer. He will reprise his supporting role in the film, which is expected to hit cinemas next year, once again under the direction of Prithviraj.
Tovino is now waiting for the release of ARM, which is due in cinemas on September 12.
