Animal fever has taken over the audience as the advance booking of Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol starrer has been going on in full swing. Days after the makers unveiled the impressive trailer, the excitement and hype around increased manifold. So far, the film has already achieved a remarkable feat in the domestic market by selling over 2 lakh tickets. As per early estimates, the film is set to surpass Rs 50 crore on the first day, promising the biggest opener for both the actors and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga of their career.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, a total of 2,09,986 tickets have been sold, taking the earnings to Rs 6.42 crore so far. The Hindi version accounted for 1,76,192 tickets, the Telugu version contributed 33,453 tickets and the Tamil version saw the sale of 341 tickets in just 48 hours since the advance booking opened on Saturday, November 25 according to reports. Earlier in the day, Taran Adarsh shared, “#Xclusiv… #Animal advance booking status at *national chains*… Note: [Friday] Day 1 tickets sold… #PVRInox: 81,000 #Cinepolis: 19,000 Total: 1,00,000 tickets sold.”
As per the trailer, Animal focuses on a son(Ranbir Kapoor) whose love for his father has gone beyond boundaries. He sets out to take revenge after his father is attacked. Bobby Deol plays the antagonist in the film which also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri and Shakti Kapoor in pivotal roles. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film has been cleared with an ‘A’ rating by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has a run time of three hours and 21 minutes and is set to release on December 1, 2023, alongside Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
