Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently enjoying the blockbuster success of Amaran, has undoubtedly become one of the most sought-after stars in Tamil cinema. Recently, the actor attended the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) event in Goa, where he showered praise on Kannada superstar Yash, commending him for elevating the Kannada film industry to “another level.”

Speaking about the KGF star, Sivakarthikeyan expressed his admiration for Yash’s growth and credited him for the current success of Kannada cinema. The Amaran actor said, "What Yash did in the Kannada industry is remarkable. It was the Kannada industry's success when KGF Chapter 1 happened, but it became Indian cinema's success when KGF Chapter 2 happened. What Yash did was remarkable. From nowhere, he took himself to another level and also took his industry to greater level. I have always admired Yash's conviction."

Sivakarthikeyan’s massive success with Amaran
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is riding high on the success of his latest outing, Amaran. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi and narrates the poignant and heroic story of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan.
The film has so far earned approximately ₹310 crore at the box office and continues to show no signs of slowing down even after running for over three weeks.
As reported earlier, Netflix acquired the film’s digital rights for a whopping ₹60 crore. Responding to a request from the Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association to extend the movie’s theatrical run, the makers are considering increasing the window from four weeks to eight weeks.
Sivakarthikeyan’s exciting upcoming projects
Sivakarthikeyan, who has an impressive lineup of projects, is currently gearing up for SK 23, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is currently under production and is highly anticipated by fans. He wil also be seen in Sudha Kongara's upcoming project, which reporedly has Jayam Ravi playing the antagonist.
