Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's latest movie, Amaran, has taken the box office by storm . Released during the Deepavali festival, the film instantly became a top choice for moviegoers.
Netflix is the official streaming partner of Amaran. Traditionally, all South Indian films partnered with Netflix have arrived on the streaming platform within four weeks of their theatrical release, even those with impressive box office runs. For example, last year, Thalapathy Vijay's Leo transitioned to online streaming just five weeks after its theatrical debut due to a pre-release contract. Similarly, Vijay's recent film The Greatest of All Time also premiered on Netflix before completing a full month in theatres.

The film follows Mukund’s journey from his days at Madras Christian College to his action-filled tenure in the Indian Army. Amaran marks a landmark achievement in Sivakarthikeyan's career, solidifying his rising status in Tamil cinema.
To embody the role of the army officer, Sivakarthikeyan underwent significant physical transformation, gaining muscle to portray Mukund’s resilience and strength. The film's action sequences are a highlight, providing audiences with a realistic glimpse into urban warfare scenarios. Sai Pallavi stars as the female lead, anchoring the story’s emotional core.
