Ajith Kumar may work with Prashanth Neel.
The social media is abuzz with excitement about the possibility of Prashanth Neel, of KGF fame, directing Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar. However, this is old news. Several months ago, rumours began to circulate about Prashanth's plan to collaborate with Ajith. So, what's the new buzz all about?
According to DTNext, Prashanth may expand his KGF cinematic universe with Ajith. It's said that Ajith met Prashanth when he was in Hyderabad as part of the ongoing discussions. Reportedly, Prashanth has asked Ajith to commit three years to this project, so he can make two back-to-back films with him.
As per the report, Prashanth plans first to make a movie with Ajith, creating a segue to KGF 3, where Ajith and Kannada superstar Yash share the screen space. Earlier, speculations were rife about Mythri Movie Makers being the frontrunners to bankroll Ajith and Prashanth's collaboration. If this report about it being part of the KGF universe is accurate, then it's most likely to be Hombale Films.

However, it may take some time before it goes into production. Prashanth's next immediate commitment is Salaar 2, with Telugu superstar Prabhas and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran. On the other hand, Ajith has two movies in the works.
Ajith's Vidaamuyarchi is in its last leg of production. Following this, he will resume shooting for director Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly. Speculations suggest that AK64 and AK65 might be with Prashanth. But these are just hearsay at the moment; we have no official confirmation from the filmmakers involved in these projects.
Ajith's Vidaamuyarchi is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film is set to arrive in cinemas on October 31, coinciding with the puja holidays.
