Finally, the wait is over! Prabhas and Kriti Sanon unveiled the much-awaited first look of their upcoming period drama, Adipurush . On Friday morning, the actors took to their respective social media handles to share the never-seen-before avatar of Prabhas. Dressed in a white dhoti, he looks intense as he holds a bow and arrow toward the sky. Needless to say, the poster has already piqued the interest of the fans and they eagerly waiting to see Kriti’s look in the upcoming movie.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Prabhas shared the poster and alongside wrote, “|| Aarambh || Join us as we embark on a magical journey on the Sarayu River Bank in Ayodhya, UP. #AdipurushInAyodhya.” He also notified his fans that the teaser of the film will be unveiled on Oct. 2 at 7:11 PM! And the movie is scheduled to release in theatres on January 12, 2023, in IMax and 3D format. On the other hand, Kriti also shared the same poster with the same caption. Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a mythological drama that has been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. It is touted to be a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana and Prabhas’ character is inspired by Lord Ram, while Kriti plays Janaki in the film. Besides them, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist King Ravana, and Sunny Singh as Laxman. Jointly bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Retrophiles, the film’s shoot was wrapped up last year in less than four months.
Meanwhile, Prabhas and Kriti were recently rumoured to be dating each other. However, later it was revealed that the rumors are nonsense and it could very well be a publicity stunt for Adipurush.
