Aamir Khan to join forces with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan director RS Prasanna for a sports drama?

Since the last two days, Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has been teasing fans with his posts on social media. In these videos, which feature him playing cricket with his team, the superstar shared that he will be telling the audiences a story on 28th April. But he went back to batting before divulging any more details. In the comment section below some guessed that he is talking about the trailer of his next film Laal Singh Chaddha , whereas many others hoped he would announce a new film.

While we are still not sure what Aamir will be revealing on 28th, a new report shared by ETimes suggests that the superstar has started ‘pre-preparation’ for his next project. The film, which will be a sports drama, is being helmed by filmmaker RS Prasanna who directed Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The report further suggests that Aamir and team will begin shooting this year and are planning to arrive in theatres by late 2023.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for news about Laal Singh Chaddha, which marks Aamir’s on-screen reunion with his 3 Idiots co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan. Also featuring Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh, the comedy drama’s release has been postponed several times in the last few years due to the pandemic. It is now expected to hit screens on 11th August.
