'Why does this look straight out of Dune?': Deepika Padukone's look from Project K reminds Twitterati of Zendaya starrer

On the occasion of Deepika Padukone ’s birthday, the makers of her upcoming film, Project K , treated fans with a new poster. As the actress posed against the sun, only her silhouette could be seen in the poster that has text, “a hope in the dark’ Sharing the poster, the production house Viyjayanthi Movies wrote, “Here's wishing our @deepikapadukone a very happy birthday.” The poster reminded fans of American actress Zendaya ’s look from the 2021 Hollywood film, Dune which also starred Timothee Chalamet.

While one of the comments read, “Zendaya from Dune???, another social media user wrote, “Dune lite version”. “Why does this look straight out of Dune?” pointed out another fan. One of the users stated that makers copied the look, saying, “Correct, Copy Industry work...Copy cats.” Another user commented, “looking like star wars inspired poster.”Check the reactions below the poster:

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Project K is reportedly set in a futuristic world & deals with the aftermath of World War 3. Besides Deepika, the film also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani. Billed as the most anticipated movie of 2023, it is simultaneously shot in Telugu, and Hindi languages. Re-sharing the new poster, Prabhas also wished Deepika on his Instagram stories writing, "Wishing the super gorgeous and talented Deepika Padukone a wonderful birthday and a year full of successes."

Earlier in the day, Deepika Padukone’s new poster from her another upcoming film, Pathaan was released. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is her co-star in the movie, shared it and alongside penned a heartfelt birthday wish for her. “To my dearest @deepikapadukone – how you have evolved to own the screen in every avatar possible! Always proud and always wishing for you to scale new heights… happy birthday…,” it read. Meanwhile, Deepika also has Fighter and The Intern remake in her kitty besides Pathaan and Project K.
