'When you're in deep trouble, you've to...' : Nawazuddin Siddiqui's estranged wife Aaliya on discussing her problems in public

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya have been having an ugly seperation wherein things have also taken a legal route. Aaliya Siddiqui has made several allegations on her husband and his family of alleged domestic violence, abuse and harassment. On the other hand, Nawazuddin has rubbished all of these claims by his wife and also charged her with a lawsuit of Rs 100 crore for allegedly defaming him. Now, Aaliya has broken her silence on why she chose to spoke about her marital discord in public.

Aaliya Siddiqui who also shares 2 children with Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed to News18, “I had to talk about these things in public because I was suffering a lot. I felt like I would suffocate if I didn’t. The decision taken by the court finally makes me feel I’m at peace. Only I know what I went through mentally. One can imagine the kind of misery a person is in if they talk about their private matters in public. I still think that I shouldn’t have spoken about these things in public. But when you’re in deep trouble, you’ve to resort to a public forum because you’ve no one to listen to you...When you’ve no one listening to you, you’ve to fight.”

The Gangs Of Wasseypur actor’s estranged wife furthermore said how her work was also affected by the issues that she faced and that she was not allowed to focus on her career. Aaliya added, “I took to a public platform because I wanted the media to understand what I was going through. I was going through some really deep difficulties and I wasn’t being able to tell anyone about it. I’ve been going through it for the past 12 years. My career was getting affected. I wasn’t allowed to work. They didn’t allow my career to further and wanted to hold me back."

Meanwhile, Aaliya Siddiqui had grabbed several eyeballs after she had shared a video of her and her children outside Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s home in earlier March this year. Aaliya alleged that her husband had thrown her and her kids outside his house. She also said how her children were traumatized by the incident and revealed them to be crying bitterly.
