When Gayatri Joshi had a change of heart about Swades co-star Shah Rukh Khan: 'I had heard from others...'

Gayatri Joshi shot to fame with her debut film Swades in which she shared the screen space with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.Incidentally, the film turned out to be her first and last film as in less than a year she married realtor Vikas Oberoi. However, the actress time again revisited the memories attached to the film. In an old interview, she revealed that she had heard things from people about Shah Rukh but only after working with him, she realised that he is much better.

When asked about how it was working with Shah Rukh Khan on sets of Swades, Gayatri said he had no starry attitude despite being a superstar. “When we were shooting, he was always looking out for me. He’s very helpful and I was very lucky to have got an opportunity to work with him. Also, there was so much to learn from him. Then, he was at his peak. Yet, he was not having any starry attitude, despite being a superstar. Neither was he intimidating nor did he make anyone’s life difficult. I had heard from others that he’s great to work with. But when I worked with him, I realized that he’s even better than what people said,” she was quoted as saying to Bollywood Hungama.

For the unversed, Gayatri and Shah Rukh had worked together for an ad shoot before sharing screen space in Swades. In the same interview, the actress also revealed her sons’ reaction to her film. She had said that they suggested her do more films after watching the film. Even though she is away from screens, she continues to be seen at few Bollywood events.

Meanwhile, Gayatri recently survived a fatal car accident in Italy. She was accompanied by her husband Vikas Oberoi when multiple cars collided during the Sardinia Supercar Tour. The couple are safe and sound.
