Updated : December 13, 2022 04:03 PM ISTThe Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri has shared a cryptic post about Bollywood songs, which netizens have taken as an indirect dig at Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s new song Besharam Rang.
Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been away from the silver screen since the last four long years. His fans have eagerly been waiting for his comeback with Pathaan , which is why they were over the moon with joy when the first track Besharam Rang released yesterday. We finally got a glimpse of the superstar, who is giving the younger generation of the film industry a run for their money with his swag even at the age of 57. Deepika Padukone ’s sizzling avatar and dance moves also got a thumbs up. But there were some who felt the track was a little too much.
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has now shared a tweet about Bollywood songs, which netizens feel is an indirect dig at SRK and Deepika’s Besharam Rang. The director, who gave us The Kashmir Files this year, wrote: “First Insta reels used to look like bad copies of Bollywood songs. Now Bollywood songs look like bad copies of Insta reels.” This did not go down well with many netizens, who have dug out old tweets of the filmmaker to remind him that he was a Shah Rukh fanboy at one point. A 2014 tweet shared by Vivek read: “There are movies, then there are blockbusters. Then there is @iamsrk.”

Several netizens are also punishing him by ripping apart his filmography before The Kashmir Files. One angry social media user shared, “Your directed super flop movie "Chocolate" looked like bad copy of Hollywood movie "The usual Suspects" Neither Cheaply made another flop movie "Tashkent Files",” whereas another tweeted: “Have you watched de dhana dhan goal. It’s a very fine movie🤣🤣😂🤦♂️🤷♂️.”
Well, Besharam Rang was trolled by some netizens but majority of fans enjoyed the track as well as the music video which features Deepika and Shah Rukh in a never seen before avatar. We all are now eagerly waiting to witness SRK’s majestic return to the silver screen when Pathaan arrives in theatres on 25th January.
