Tunisha Sharma Fitoor
The tragic demise of actress Tunisha Sharma has put the entire entertainment industry into a state of shock and gloom. The actress was found hanging in one of the makeup rooms of her TV show, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul on December 24, 2022. Tunisha was a part of many popular TV shows and had also acted in some films as a child artist. One of them being the Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer 2016 film Fitoor . Tunisha played the younger version of Katrina in the same and her performance, especially in the song ‘ Haminastu ’ from the film was much appreciated.
To take you on a trip down memory lane, the Hindi-Kashmiri song saw Tunisha playing a young Firdaus (Katrina’s character from Fitoor) wherein she can be seen bonding with a young Aditya Roy Kapur that was essayed by Mohammad Abrar Khan. The track saw the young boy falls in love with Firdous at the first sight and the attraction continues as they grow older. Shot in the picturesque valleys of Kashmir, one can see the late actress stealing the show with her intense performance at the tender age of 13 when she had shot for the film. Take a look at the track.
We see Tunisha Sharma horse-riding as she is first introduced in the song. Her expressions while judging the young Noor while also slowly warming up to him as her only friend are simply flawless. The late actress was also resembling Katrina Kaif due to her soft features. The song was crooned by Zeb Bangash and still remains one of the most underrated songs of the film. It was composed by Amit Trivedi and the lyrics were penned by Swanand Kirkire.
The song is just a sad testimony of how the industry lost such a fine talent of an actress at such a tender age. The director of Fitoor, Abhishek Kapoor mourned the loss of Tunisha Sharma. His statement said, “Shocked &deeply saddened by the passing away of #tunishasharma . I worked with her on #fitoor she was a young 13 yr old, a gifted & a disciplined actor. someone with a bright future & so much to give as an artist..this is so heartbreaking . May her family find peace. Hari Om.”
