Akshay Kumar gives clarification on pan masala ad
Akshay Kumar’s Pan Masala ad whose second part was released recently along with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan was released recently. However, Akshay especially received a lot of flak since he issued a statement wherein he had withdrawn his collaboration with the brand since his fans were unhappy with him promoting the product. Now, the superstar has lashed out at a publication that reported that he has ‘returned’ as the brand ambassador of the product.
Talking about the same, Akshay asked the publication to do some fact-checking before reporting the news. The Phir Hera Pheri actor clarified that he had shot for these ads back in October 2021 before he broke his association with the brand. Kumar replied to the publication’s news report saying, “‘Returns’ as ambassador? Here’s some fact check for you Bollywood Hungama, if by chance you are interested in things other than fake news. These ads were shot on 13th October, 2021. I have not had anything to do with the brand ever since I publicly announced the discontinuation of the endorsement. They can legally run the already shot ads till the end of next month. Chill and do some real news.” Take a look at the same.

While some supported the Sooryavanshi actor, others took a subtle dig at him. A netizen said, “But as a responsible person you could have returned every penny you took and asked the brand to not run your ads. Even if it was not legally possible you should have donated every penny to some cancer hospital and started a campaign to reduce addiction in youth.” Another user added, “Return their money and they will stop showing you in their ad. It’s simple.” Bigg Boss 16 fame Soundarya Sharma who was also a part of the ad also clarified that it was indeed shot in 2021.
