The well-known actor Atul Parchure, who needs absolutely no introduction, is no more. Best known for his roles in Marathi films and stage shows, he was equally a well-known name in Bollywood. Reason cited for the passing away of the 57-year-old actor is a relapse of cancer.
Reports state that the actor had been battling cancer for many years now. As per a source-based report in India Today, the family had confirmed that Atul Parchure breathed his last earlier today. The late actor is survived by his family, including his mother, wife, and daughter, who have requested privacy during this tough time.
Atul Parchure, in his career spanning many years, was a part of many Bollywood films like the Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt starrer All the Best, Sanjay Dutt Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal, Sanajay Dutt and Govinda starrer Partner and many other films. Atul was also a part of the extremely popular The Kapil Sharma Show.
Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, on his part, took to social media and expressed grief towards the late actor. In his post (a gist), Eknath Shinde posted (in Marathi), read as, ‘The untimely death of Atul Parchure is indeed painful. Atul Parchure started his brilliant acting career right from children's theatre.
He had left his mark in all the three fields of drama, film and serials. Be it plays like Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka, Natigoti or PuLa Deshpande's verbal, lyrical humour, Atul Parchure has added depth to it with his innate qualities.
He also played great characters in Marathi and Hindi films. Due to his departure, Marathi has lost a classic actor. This loss is not recoverable.
As one of Parchure's thousands of fans, I share the grief of the family. May God give them the strength to bear this sorrow. On behalf of the state government, I pay tribute to him. Om Shanti’.
In an interview with Times Now, well known actress Amruta Khanvilkar said that Atul Parchure’s death news had come as a shocker for her and that he was a gem of a person.
She added that Sachin (Pilgaonkar) had posted the message on their ‘Katyar Kaljat Ghusali’ group and that it was hard to believe.She also added that Sachin (Pilgaonkar) sir had told her that he (Atul Prchure) was not keeping well since a few days and that his had deteriorated due to illness.
Media reports state that, the late Atul Parchure’s health had deteriorated while working on the stage show, Suryachi Pille.
