If one had to describe the Kapil Sharma hosted The Great Indian Kapil Show in one sentence, then, it would be ‘He came, he entertained and he conquered’! The inimitable Kapil Sharma had even coined a slogan for the same saying, ‘Bas Ghar Badla Hai, Parivaar Nahi’. This was a hint that his super popular show was now being telecast on Netflix and not Sony TV! The show started off with a bang as none other than Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Ridhima Kapoor were the guests (although one did miss Alia Bhatt very badly).
The next few episodes saw the likes of none other than Aamir Khan, globally famous Ed Sheeran and many others. After having a mixed response for this season, the show got wrapped up yesterday (June 23, 2024) with the national heart throb Kartik Aaryan and his mother as the celebrity guests. Just as when everyone was wondering about the next season of the show, there was everyone's favourite Sunil Grover providing the much-needed answer to the question which was playing on everyone’s mind!
As per a report in Mid Day, it has been stated that, Sunil Grover had just said that the wait for its second season wouldn’t be too long. The ace comic said (to the said publication) that they would be returning to shoot the second season soon.
Readers may recall that, after the much talked about fallout between Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma, The Great Indian Kapil Show saw the reunion (of sorts) between the two stellar performers. Speaking about reunion (with Kapil Sharma), the actor had told the publication that his relationship with Kapil Sharma hadn’t changed at all and that it was the same as before, with a little bit of sarcasm added here and there!
