We cannot keep calm as international pop sensation Ed Sheeran is all set to feature in the latest episode of the comedy show, The Great Indian Kapil Show,  on Netflix. The promo of the latest episode promises to send you on a laugh riot as Kapil struggles to make conversations with his broken English and Ed shows off his Hindi speaking skills by singing a song in the local language and saying Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic dialogue from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

Ed Sheeran speaks in Hindi on The Great Indian Kapil Show

The promo of the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, featuring pop sensation Ed Sheeran, was released on the official Instagram handle of Netflix India. The caption read, “The perfect collab doesn’t exist..Watch Ed Sheeran on #TheGreatIndianKapilShow this Saturday 8pm only on Netflix.”

Host Kapil Sharma introduced Ed on the show as the man who has sold more than 150 million records worldwide while the audience cheered in the background.

Later, Ed does a live performance for the audience, singing ‘Shape of You’ as people in traditional desi clothes dance in the background. In a small clip shared in the promo, Kapil recalls the time when Ed met Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan at his house. Responding to this, Ed replied, “Bade bade shaharo mein choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai” which is a popular dialogue of the Bollywood star from his film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The singer also recreated the iconic Shah Rukh pose.  He also sang a song during the comedy show.

In the final clips of the promo when Kapil says that Ed has specially come to India to meet him, the singer replies, “Nahi nahi, mera show hai Mumbai mein (No, I have a concert in Mumbai).”

Featuring comedians Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on Netflix on March 30. The first episode featured Ranbir Kapoor, along with his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The latest episode will star international pop star Ed Sheeran. New episodes of The Great Indian Kapil Show premiere every Saturday at 8 pm on Netflix.
