'Thank God Kareena rejected the role': Fans react as Preity Zinta celebrates 20 years of Kal Ho Naa Ho

Yesterday (November 28) marked Kal Ho Naa Ho turning 20 years old. The lead actress of the timeless romantic flick Preity Zinta took to her social media handle to share a heartwarming tribute to the film. She remembered Karan Johar’s father, the late producer Yash Johar who had bankrolled the movie. Fans flooded the comment section with some beautiful reactions.

Talking about the same, Preity Zinta shared the scene from the movie wherein she and Shah Rukh Khan’s Aman share an emotional moment during her Haldi ceremony. The actress wrote how this was the last time Yash Johar was on set and expressed her gratitude to him for making the movie. Take a look at the same.

One of the fans wrote, “Thank god Kareena rejected the role of Naina.” For the unversed, the role of Naina in Kal Ho Naa Ho was first offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan but she rejected the same. Another netizen said, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho was my absolute favorite movie. Solid music. Solid acting. Every time I go to NY I recognize the sites that were shown in the movie! One question I still have though: "Kya woh Muhammad Ali hai?" A netizen said, “To this day this movie still makes me cry! No matter how many times I watch it! Always been my favorite movie of yours. I grew up watching your movies.” A user added, “A piece of Bollywood cinema left with Yash sir. When he passed away. Its not the same and it never will be. Now its all about matching Hollywood, less clothes, more kissing scenes, less emotional songs, less heart to heart talk less colors, less everything… and I know im not the only one who feel the same.”
