The official trailer of the upcoming cop drama Thalavan, starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali, has just been released! The makers of the film took to their social media handles to unveil the official trailer, which features lead actors Asif Ali and Biju Menon as two cops, who are in conflict for power, exploring how hierarchy works in the police force, just as the title suggests (Thalavan translates to 'The Head' in Malayalam).
The trailer features Biju Menon taking on the character of Inspector Jayashankar, while Asif Ali plays Karthik, a Sub Inspector of Police. The trailer takes us through a murder investigation, during which conflicts arise between the two protagonists who disagree on the investigation methods. In the end, the senior and junior cops clash as they investigate the case in their own ways, while competing against each other.

Thalavan is directed by Jis Joy and stars Biju Menon and Asif Ali in lead roles. Although the film marks the maiden collaboration between director Jis Joy and Biju Menon, actor Asif Ali has worked with the director in films such as Bicycle Thieves, Sunday Holiday, Vijay Superum Pournamiyum, and Innale Vare. Besides the lead cast, the film also features Dileesh Pothen, Anushree, Miya, Kottayam Nazeer, Jaffer Idukki, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K John, Anuroop, Nandan Unni, Joji Mundakayam, Sujith Shanker, Renjit Shekar, Sabumon Abdusamad, and Bilas in key roles.
