Today is the auspicious day of Karwa Chauth, the day when the wives all over fast for the long life and the safety of their dearest husbands. While there were many ‘old timers’ in Bollywood who were seen observing this religious ritual, there were also the ‘first timers’ who were celebrating their first Karwa Chauth this year. One such couple happens to be the stunning Sonakshi Sinha and her dashing husband Zaheer Iqbal.
Today, on the auspicious occasion of Karwa Chauth, Sonakshi Sinha took to social media and shared an extremely funny video post, which had an equally important message. She captioned the video post as, ‘Find a pati who won’t let you starve alone… whatever his reason may be Happy Karwa Chauth… our first’.
The video starts off with a hungry Sonakshi Sinha, who is fasting. Not knowing what to do, she lands up putting the floral décor on her head. Seeing this, her darling husband Zaheer Iqbal (who was seated next to her on the sofa), asks her what she was doing. To which, Sonakshi Sinha said that she was hungry.
This is followed by her telling Zaheer Iqbal that she is fasting for him because it's Karwa Chauth. In the same breath, she asks him as to why he was fasting (for her). To which, Zaheer Iqbal gives an answer that really will make people fall on the floor laughing!
Zaheer Iqbal, on his part, tells Sonakshi Sinha that the reason for him to fast was because, if he eats, then, she (Sonakshi Sinha) would kill him! Saying this, he starts laughing….
Besides this lovely couple, there were many other Bollywood celebs who were seen observing Karwa Chauth. There were also many celebs who were seen flaunting their lovely mehndi, which they had applied for the lovely occasion.
The ones who took to social media and shared the pics of their lovely mehndi included Parineeti Chopra, Shilpa Shetty, Sonam Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Bhagyashree and others.
